Philippe Colin inherited his estate from his parents, whose estate was split between Philippe and his brother, Bruno. Both brothers now make wines independently. Philippe grows his vines with a 'lutte raisonée' approach, and vinifies his wines using traditional methods. However, he likes to bottle earlier than most Burgundy producers, to preserve a fresher and less evolved style of wine, more expressive in youth. This wine has undergone no more than 12 months' fermentation and barrel ageing prior to bottling.
