In the early culture of the Wachau valley, 'federspiel' or falconry was a popular pastime of the middle classes, and the term has now come to represent the 'middle class' of the region's wines, which display moderate ripeness balanced by crisp acidity. Showing plenty of finesse, this Riesling has a bright, straw yellow colour and an inviting bouquet of grapefruit and apricot. Dry with an elegant finish, and plenty of citrus and floral quality. Enjoy over the next 4-6 years, either with salads, seafood or simply appreciate the wine by itself.
