    From old vines on the border of the Brouilly cru, this is a Beaujolais-Villages wine with the depth and complexity of a top cru wine. The Château itself dates back to 1535, with grapes now used to make wines on the estate instead of being sold to negociants. This wine has fresh strawberry aromas and pleasant earthy notes, light tannins and a rounded finish. Can be served slightly chilled, but deserves respect due to the soft aromas and lashings of fresh fruit. Superb with cured meat.
