Since the purchase of new vineyards in 1999, Churchill Estates have been developing and mastering dry wines. Made using native Duoro grape varieties this wine is fermented in stainless steel before being aged for 8 months in new and old French oak. Ripe cherry and strawberry aromas combine with subtle vanilla oak on the nose and follow through to the rich, velvety palate. Elegant, well-integrated tannins lead to a long well-balanced finish. A great accompaniment to all types of hearty red meat dishes, particularly spicy sausage dishes.
